The Far-Reaching Impact of Living Hope Children Sponsorship Program | 新希望儿童助养事工带来深远影响

As the busy year draws to a close, we have the opportunity to reflect with partner churches around the world on the many blessings and grace God has bestowed upon our child sponsorship ministries. In 2024, the world has not been at peace. The regions where we support children and partner churches have faced various challenges. Yet, as Paul said in 2 Corinthians: "For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all." We have already witnessed how God has used this ministry to rescue children from poverty, hunger, war, and underdeveloped environments. In the future, these children, with the eternal hope given by Jesus Christ, will live out Christ in their communities and become powerful witnesses of His love. This is the shared vision of Living Hope and every local church we partner with.

Below are updates and prayer requests from each region’s program:

Asia: The children in the Asia ministry are scattered in different regions. Corresponding co-workers in each region visit the children's homes every week to give them aid and supplies. Now more sponsors are needed to help the ministry to grow sustainably.

Kenya: In September this year, the short-term mission team had the opportunity to visit Kathonzweni Children's Home. The situation has improved significantly over the past year. We hope to help restore the capacity of the children's home to accommodate 100 children.

Honduras Langue: Seven years after the establishment of the children's center, our first group of children has grown into teenagers. Currently, these children have begun to participate in the church youth gatherings. Please continue to pray for them.

Honduras Tolupan: This summer the short-term mission team witnessed 8 adults and children from the Indian tribe being baptized and converted to Christ. Please pray for the missionary families to carry out gospel work deeper in the tribe.

Ukraine: Now that the church has a regular women's fellowship for widows of fallen soldiers, the families of these sponsored children are gradually beginning to have a stable church life. Local churches are still hoping we can help more families. Please pray that our ministry can help more families find Christ in their despair.

随着一年的忙碌进入了尾声，我们有机会与各地的同工教会回顾过去一年神在儿童助养事工上各样祝福与恩典。2024年，世界并不太平，我们所帮助的儿童与教会所在的区域也面临各样的挑战，但是正如保罗在哥林多后书所说：“我们这至暂至轻的苦楚，要为我们成就极重无比、永远的荣耀。”我们已经看到神已经借着这个事工将孩子们从贫穷，饥饿，战争，落后的环境中拯救出来，将来孩子们也会因着耶稣基督所赐下永恒的盼望，在他们所在社区活出基督，成为美好的见证。这是新希望与每一个合作的当地教会共同的异象。

下面是各地区事工的更新及代祷事项：

亚洲：亚洲事工中孩子们分散在不同的区域，各地区有对应负责同工每周去到孩子们的家里探访，将帮扶款项和物资给到孩子们。现在需要更多助养人来帮助此事工可持续发展。

肯尼亚：今年9月短宣队有机会探访Kathonzweni儿童之家，一年来儿童之家的状况已得到大幅改善。我们希望儿童之家恢复到能接纳100名儿童的能力。

洪都拉斯兰盖 ：在儿童中心建立七年之际，我们第一批儿童成长为青少年。目前这批孩子开始参加教会青少年聚会，请继续为他们祷告。

洪都拉斯托鲁盘：今年夏天短宣队再次见证8名来自印第安部落的成人和孩子接受洗礼，归入基督。请为宣教士家庭在部落更深处开展福音工作代祷。

乌克兰：如今教会已经有固定的为阵亡军人遗孀开办的妇女团契，这些正在接受助养的遗孤们的家庭逐渐开始有稳定的教会生活。当地教会希望我们继续资助更多的阵亡军人的家庭，请大家继续为更多家庭通过我们的事工在绝望中认识基督耶稣祷告。
