Ukraine Mission Trip |

Over the past two years, Living Hope's ministry in Ukraine has seen more than 100 children receive sponsorship. This trip to Ukraine provided us an opportunity to visit the families receiving this support and participate in a women's fellowship event held at the church on Saturday. A volunteer team from Lviv Central Baptist Church (LCBC) also joined in serving these families. Both the church’s pastoral couple and ordinary members have built bonds of love within the fellowship, engaging in Bible studies and seeking God's Word. Through counseling, prayer, and Bible study, they accompanied these families who have lost loved ones, sharing in their grief while bringing God's love and encouragement, helping them envision a brighter future, and guiding them toward the hope of eternal life. If God permits, they are considering establishing a women's crisis center in the coming years to assist in post-war reconstruction efforts in Ukraine. Our small support from North America is a way of sharing Jesus' love, letting the church in Lviv and those families who have lost loved ones know that because of Jesus' love, we are standing with them through these difficult times.

On our last day in Lviv, we had lunch with some wounded soldiers. During the meal, Pastor Fang briefly introduced how Living Hope participates in the church's orphan program and shared his own testimony of salvation. Seeing the soldiers listening attentively and nodding at times, I knew God was slowly opening their hearts. War is brutal, and only Jesus can help these wounded young men emerge from the shadows of conflict. We are deeply grateful for the dedication of the church couple, Mykhaylo and Natalia, to this ministry and pray that God will remember their sacrifices.

The few days of our trip passed by quickly. Before we departed, we prayed for Ukraine and the church together with the local pastor. We asked the Lord to grant mercy and to strengthen the faith of every believer. In every season, whether favorable or challenging, we give thanks for the diligent service of the brothers and sisters from LCBC Church. May God continue to move churches and brothers and sisters across North America to support the ministry in Ukraine. Because of Jesus, we are one family.
